EXPAL Integrated Mortar System
Spain’s EXPAL Systems
(Explosivos Alaveses) is showing its EXPAL
Integrated Mortar System
(EIMOS). This consists of a highly
mobile 4×4 platform, on the
rear of which can be mounted a
60mm or 81mm muzzle loaded
mortar plus a quantity of ready-
use ammunition.
The mortar is mounted on
a turntable that allows it to
be rapidly traversed through
a full 360°, with elevation
limits depending on the
mortar installed.
