Typhoon Phase 2 Enhancements
As part of the ongoing test
campaign for the Eurofighter
Typhoon Phase Two
Enhancements (P2E), trials
aircraft IPA6 recently had completed
a new round of firings of the
MBDA Meteor long-range
missile. The campaign involved
fewer than 10 launches.
This took the missile integration
trials into a new phase in which
the weapon was fired at a
variety of speeds, both subsonic
and supersonic, and against live
targets flying at various speeds
and altitudes.
