WEW deploys
WEW Container Systems , a Thielmann
company, has expanded its
deployable fuel and water
storage and distribution system
portfolio with two new products.
The FSD-10 fuel storage and
dispensing and WSD-10 water
storage and dispensing units
have been developed with
affordability in mind. To achieve
this, the units are fitted onto DIN
30722-1 PLS/DROPS-compatible
A-frames, creating low-profile
systems that retain the handling
capabilities of the WEW full frame
systems.
The overall dimensions
of the systems allow transport
inside a standard ISO box
container for full intermodality.
A further variant, the
WSD-10-FF, has been designed
with the firefighting and
emergency services in mind.
The products have a capacity
of 10,000 litres, gross weight of
15,000kg, operating pressure
of 0.45 bar and can
operate in temperatures ranging
from -40°C to +49°C.
WEW has signed a $27.5
million contract to supply 241
Hippo water container systems
to the US Army, with deliveries to
begin within three months of signing. The
Hippo water system has been in
use with the US Army since 2003.
WEW was part of the team that
supplied 1,400 units between
2003 and 2013
